Scottsdale Synchro Arizona is a United States Synchronized Swimming Program open to all swimmers ages 6 through 18.

The city-sponsored team offers year-round recreational, intermediate, competitive, and elite teams.

The team also offers a Mermaid Program on Saturdays from 10:30-noon for newer swimmers ages 6 through 12 .

Scottsdale Synchro is nationally ranked with its JR/SR Team placing first at the 2014 Age Group National Championships.  It’s 13-15 and 12 & Under Age Groups also placed in the top ten in the country.  Additionally, the team has two representatives currently on US National Teams.

The team’s home pool is located at the beautiful McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center in north Scottsdale.

What is Synchronized Swimming?

Synchronized swimming is an exciting sport that combines the athleticism of swimming, the acrobatics and precision of gymnastics and figure skating, and the artistry of ballet and dance.  It is one of the best overall fitness activities you can find.  It also develops other important traits in young athletes such as self-discipline, determination, confidence, sportsmanship, time management skills, competitive experience, creativity & design, and more.

Synchronized swimming is a sport requiring overall body strength and agility, grace and beauty, split-second timing, musical interpretation, and dramatic flair. It is a unique sport in which power, strength, and technical skill are displayed in an artistically choreographed piece

Scottsdale Synchro is a non-profit club sponsored by the City of Scottsdale. No swimmer will be turned away or withdrawn from the club if the family is unable to pay dues. Scholarship assistance is available. Cases are considered individually by the Board and Head Coach.
